Professor of Lecture same as Professor of Recitation?

Does the normal professor (the lecture one) normally teach the recitation class too? (this is for chem) If not, won't that give my recitation class a big leg up since we'll get to develop a better relationship/get more inside info on tests?

recitations are usually "taught" by TA's
