The Committee on Admission has completed its review of your application submitted under the Early Decision program. I am sorry to report that you have not been selected as a member of the Class of 2016. Given your strong interest in attending Vassar, I only wish that I were able to send you better news.
I realize that this decision will be disappointing to you and your family. We anticipate receiving at least 8,000 applications for a freshman class of 660 students. Unfortunately, this level of competition for admission dictates that we must deny admission to many fine candidates. We appreciate your interest in Vassar and hope you will accept our best wishes for much success as you continue your education.
