I just wondered if anyone has any knowledge of the computer science program at Vassar. I know it's not the school's crowning glory, but is it any good at all? To judge by the courses, it looks quite legit, but to judge by the reviews in ratemyprofessor.com, it comes across as a big disappointment -- but I know that's not exactly a reliable source of info.

Anybody have any experience to share?

I just declared a computer science major! The department is small but I see that as a plus, especially in a field where personal attention can really do the difference - and the professors really have time to attend to each student personally. If this helps, I didn't think about a computer science major at all when I took the intro course, but what can I say, I was hooked :-)
