Active military - what are my chances??

Hello all I am currently active duty in the military set to get out next year. I'm trying to transfer from my current CC to a 4 year university.

Hispanic male, Age 23
Current school: Local California CC
Intended major: Computer Engineering
High school gpa: 82/100 (horrible I know)
College gpa: 3.79
SAT: 1860 (not nearly as good as I hoped)
Current courses: Calculus I, College English 102, General Chemistry II w/Lab
ECs: Guitar teacher for local kids in church
Hooks: Hispanic, 1st person in family to go to college, parents were immigrants from Mexico.
Great essays, great recommendations (One from my chemistry professor, one from my Precalculus teacher, one from my commanding officer)

Colleges applying to:
UT-Austin
UI-Urbana Champaign
USC
Texas A&M
UW-Madison
Ohio State

In-state for the Texas schools, OOS for everything else. I'll be using my GI Bill to pay for tuition so I probably wont be applying for FAFSA if that makes any difference. Please chance guys! Thanks in advance

You're chances are decent a number of those institutions. Be sure to look for special opportunities given to veterans or non-traditional students.

You should still apply for FAFSA, because you will get a $5500 Pell Grant. This is money that does not need to be paid back.
