Visit Activities:
Information Session:
Yes - Given by a wonderful speaker, it was enough to make me want to attend their college. Very helpful, easy to tell if BC is the right match for you or not.
Campus Tour:
Yes - Even in a cold, wet snow, the tour was eye-opening. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and she gave the impression that she thoroughly enjoys attending BC.
Campus:
Friendliness/Courtesy of Students:
4 - Very Good
I visited the day before Easter break, so there weren't many students around, but the ones that I spoke with were generally friendly.
Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff:
5 - Excellent
Extremely friendly, helpful staff. The staff helps to create a great community feeling.
Appearance of Campus:
5 - Excellent
Gorgeous. The architecture is absolutely stunning all across campus. Old, historic buildings are in beautiful condition, with stained glass, beautiful statues, and cathedral ceilings abound.
Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:
5 - Excellent
The historic buildings are beautifully complimented by high-tech facilities, including a completely wireless campus. The campus is spotless and everything is in pristine condition.
Dormitories:
3 - Good
I didn't get to go inside the dormitories, but visitors should take note that 40% of freshmen live on Newton campus, a mile and a half from main campus.
Security/Safety:
4 - Very Good
No reason to feel unsafe here, but no reason to feel particularly safe either. Ordinary campus safety measures.
Overall Campus Impression:
5 - Excellent
BC is a wonderful place to be. Great variety of academic, athletic, extracurricular, and spiritual opportunities.
Off-Campus:
Area Immediately Around Campus:
4 - Very Good
BC itself is in a nice, suburban town.
City/Town/Community:
5 - Excellent
6 miles from downtown Boston, you can't ask for anything better!
