Pitt is not Boston. But, it may rival it some day. It has northeastern elements: urban decay, pollution and other blights. But, revival is coming. And, CMU campus is included with that phrase. [View Full Report] |

CMU is right by the Schenley Park area which is a pretty decent area, though there are shady things that happen there sometimes. the uiniversity is also rigth by oakland, which is bad at night. [View Full Report] |

We only saw the Oakland area, which was very student oriented. I've heard Shadyside is quite nice and only a few minutes walk. The conservatory in the park was fantastic. [View Full Report] |

One nearby neighborhood, Oakland, seemed to have a fair number of panhandlers. Students get free bus passes, so getting to Squirrel Hill and Shadyside were fairly easy. [View Full Report] |
