Campus Visit Notes for Cornell University
We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Ithaca, and visited Cornell the next morning. We didn't have long to look around, considering we had to make a flight in Jersey later that evening. From what I saw of the campus, I have to say it was one of the prettiest I've seen, falling only slightly behind Princeton. The best part of Cornell was that I never once felt I was in an "Ivy League" setting. The academic atmosphere is laid back, but at the same time highly determined. The students seemed cooperative with one another, not fiercely competitive (as is the case at some of the more prestigious Ivies). All in all, a wonderful school in a beautiful area.
