Visit Activities:

Information Session: Yes - It wasn't the regular crammed session with 100 people. Sat in a circle with about 15 students and 2 current students, who were very informative and friendly. Very comfortable.

Campus Tour: Yes - Very, very energetic tour guide. It was apparent that he loved the school. He answered all the questions and then some. I felt so at home. All the snow-covered buildings were breath-taking.

Campus Visit Notes for Dartmouth College

Visit Description:

My visit was very informative and reassured me that this is where I belong for my four years of undergraduate studies. When I arrived on campus, I was instantly welcomed. The dean of admission was so nice! The greek life plays a large role in the social system, but it is by no means pressured. Everyone can attend parties at the frat houses. The surrounding is beautiful and it is the perfect picturesque New Engand college. There was a lot of diversity from what I saw. Again, our tour guide was so...exuberant. There were puddles of melted snow everywhere because it had just rained earlier, and he stepped into a few numerous times. And he almost ran over a couple of people. A lot of people greeted him (they all seemed quite peculiar) and were really friendly to the prospectives. Our information session started out as a bit awkward because everyone was so shy. however, the current students cracked a couple of jokes and make everyone feel slightly more comfortable. My advice is to relax and take advantage of the opportunity. The food on campus is amazing. I can't remember the name but it's the hottest spot for student hangout. fair prices. Students appeared to be seggregated by hobbies (jocks, hippies), but no racial division. Overall, it was a very enjoyable visit.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Stayed at the marigold or something like that. cramped for 5 people but endurable. I have no idea how much it cost. Friend's parents took care of expenses.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

On campus. AMAZING!

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

Um...first we parked like a hour away from admission office(well, it was across campus, not quite an hour) but then we found out that there was plenty of spaces right next to the office. Paid $ though
