Admissions Interview: No - Davidson does not offer admissions interviews.

Information Session: Yes - Very informative and the leader very open to questions.

Campus Tour: Yes - Very friendly tour guide

Classroom Visit: Yes - Slightly intimidating but very interesting

I live in Watts, which was just redone this summer. My room here is bigger than my room at home and everything smells good, which is surprising for a dorm....

Campus Visit Notes for Davidson College


Visit Description:

I loved my tour and overnight visit to Davidson. So much that I'm here now. And I couldn't be happier with my decision. It's not for everyone ... they do load on the work. But it's awesome! Check out my posts on the Davidson College discussion board -- got tons of information for you there, and I'm happy to answer any questions you might have!

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Mooresville has good hotels (exit 36), as does Berkdale (25). Try the Hampton Inn in Mooresville.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

Soda Shop is worth a visit. If you make it into Charlotte, check out the restaurants at South Park Mall, especially the California Pizza Kitchen.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

Carowinds is nearby; freshmen are permitted cars and all parking is within five minutes of dorms; for transportation, you can get rides into Charlotte on the Vamonos van or by bus.
