Yes - The movie was pretty standard and a little cheesy, but to be honest I was so in love with the campus as soon as I got there that I really didn't care!

Raleigh/Durham are short drives away. So are Duke, UNC, and Wake Forest. There is plenty to do even if it's not right there. But campus activities are planned.
Campus Visit Notes for Elon University
Visit Description:
As I mentioned, I spent 2 days in NC for the purpose of looking at Elon. I had a tour and info session scheduled for the second day, but the night before I was driving around and was lost and ended up on campus. Everyone says that when you walk onto THE campus...you just know. I thought everyone was full of it, so I was very skeptical about this whole "feeling". But I totally agree with everyone now. The minute we drove on campus I never wanted to leave. It was one of the last colleges I looked at before applying, but even then I loved the tour. There was nothing special about it, but I just felt like I belonged there.
Aside from all of this, the campus is absolutely georgous. It's stunning. That alone is enough to make me want to go there! Also, Elon is growing rapidly in its numbers of applicants as well as its reputation. It really attracts me that I could potentially enter as a freshmen, and then 4 years later my degree will be worth more than it was when I entered. Or that even father down the line, I could say "I got an undergraduate from Elon" and people would actually know what school I was talking about.
