Very friendly student body. A student on the campus bus went out of his way to take us to the dorm hall we were interested in and directed us to the dining hall. We did not even have to ask!

Campus Visit Notes for Florida State University

Visit Description:

We were really impressed with the friendliness of the students and staff. They seemed genuine and very proud to show their school. We also saw groups of students talking and walking together something we did not see at a previous visit to another school. There did not seem to be any problems with "town and gown" relations. I'd love to go to school there! DS seemed interested and impressed but slightly overwhelmed with the size. I'm sure to hear more later from DS.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Quality Inn on Apalachee Parkway was clean and comfortable but they need to update common areas. Breakfast was not very good.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

We went to the Capitol building after our campus tour and the parking garage was full but were able to find off street parking. Downtown area was very nice.
