Visit Activities:

Admissions Interview: Yes - 3 visits: August 2009, Jan.2011, March 2011. March: I had a few questions. Also, it was for my sister too, since she may look into this school also (not sure yet).

Campus Tour: Yes - I took a campus tour each time I was there. Pretty campus, well-kept, etc. Funny/interesting tour guide this third time.

Everyone seems really nice. I talked to several random people, all very helpful, and that goes for each of the times I was there.

They're awesome! They really work hard to schedule the things you need on your visit and answer any questions you have, no matter how many emails you send them.

They're clean...but small, but hey, that's freshman dorms. They get a lot better once you get older.

Campus Visit Notes for Illinois Wesleyan University

Visit Description:

I have been on 3 visits to Illinois Wesleyan University. My first visit was in August of 2009, and my second visit was in January of 2011 for my audition into the music program.

By the time of this third visit, I had already decided I was going to come here. I had applied, been accepted, and sent in my deposit. We decided to visit one more time because my parents wanted to see what it looked like again, since we had spring break in March. They didn't remember it very well from August of 2009, and for my audition, I went on a plane by myself. On this third visit, we also ate lunch there, which is very good, and lots of choices. I'm a picky eater, and it works for me there! My admissions counselor ate lunch with us, partly because the admissions meeting for questions just turned into a long chat about random stuff and we had to extend the time to lunch to answer actual questions!-the admissions staff is very friendly and helpful!

I like it a lot here, and think I will be very happy there this fall! 14 weeks til orientation...

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Nice hotels around there, and more cheaply priced than we would expect around where we live. We stayed at the Hawthorn Suites.
