Visit Activities:


Information Session: Yes - The woman giving the interview was very engaged, and she knew what she was talking about.

Campus Tour: Yes - The tour guide was very bubbly, and that is a good thing.

Not many students, but the few we met were friendly.

The professors were interested in the prospectives.

MITs campus is amazingly clean.

Everything was clean. Even the construction.

Didnt see a dorm.. but the pictures online appear good.

Its an open campus, but I felt safe at all times.

MIT has a grand campus in Cambridge, right on the Charles.

Campus Visit Notes for Massachusetts Institute of Technology


Visit Description:

Visiting MIT has been one of the best college tours I have been on. Grant it, the tour was longer than most others, but the tour guide was bubbly and enthusiastic. The campus is very grand, and embracing of the different eras and styles of architecture. It is an urban campus, but there is soo much green space! The dome was under construction, but to only preserve its greatness. After this, it confirmed that MIT is one of the best colleges/universities in the world.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

Driving in Cambridge is fairly straight forward, but the MBTA is soo much easier.
