Campus Visit Notes for Middlebury College
Visit Description:
DD was hesitant about visiting this campus. I am glad that she agreed to take a look (we were passing through the area, going to Yale from McGill, and I figured that we might as well take a look at a LAC). From the time that we entered the admissions office to the time that we left town, we were impressed by the people that we met. The admissions staff were organized, the tour started on time, and they gave bottles of water to visitors. Although we did not have time to do so, we were invited to have dinner on campus. Tour guide can only be described as competent - knowledgeable of campus facilities and academic programs.
Absolutely gorgeous campus and friendly students. Campus was more culturally diverse than I expected. Academic programs, especially languages, seem to be very strong. Facilities are top-notch. Campus architecture blends in well with the nearly idealic New England countryside.
DD will have Middlebury on her list as a result of this visit.
