Yes - The admissions session was a little vague. You could have learned all of the info online, however there was time for Q&A which was very helpful. Many questions were answered to their best knowledg
Campus Tour:
Yes - OMG. I've been living in suburbia for 13 years now, and I have to say I LOVE THE CITY. I don't care that there's no "campus". The city is your campus, IT'S NEW YORK CITY.

I asked two of my friends to show me around (who attend NYU) and if they represent a good deal of the NYU population, then overall the student population is very friendly.

They were all very courteous in answering questions and showing us around. All my concerns were addressed.

I love the city, especially New York City. There is reconstruction going on in Wash. Sq. Park, but it'll be done soon, and the park will be beautiful. I visited on a beautiful autumn day =]
Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:

There was one thing that I really liked, and it was that EACH DORM ROOM HAS IT'S OWN BATHROOM. No communal bathrooms in NYU =]. The dorms were pretty nice too.

In order to get into any NYU building, you have to have your ID card and each NYU building has a security guard. They also have an escort service in case you don't feel safe walking at night.

I loved it. Can't speak for everyone though.
Off-Campus:
Area Immediately Around Campus:

It's one walk away from basically everything! SoHo and Greenwich Village and the financial district. Plus the subway is handy.
City/Town/Community:
5 - Excellent
Well...it's NYC. I love seeing people on the street when I walk, and I love seeing skyscrapers. My opinion of course.
Campus Visit Notes for New York University
Visit Description:
I suggest going during the day when they have class, this way you see the NYU community as if you were there. Overall, my impression of the school was that it was amazing. Everything I could ask for in a university they had.
