Visit Activities:


Information Session: Yes - Pretty dull, and the speaker was hard to understand. She should have had a mic.

Campus Tour: Yes - One sees a nice variety of places and buildings.


Campus:

We got very, very lost on the way to the visitor's center and every student we asked for directions was very helpful and friendly.

Every was friendly and upbeat. Had a lengthy conversation with a professor while eating at a nearby McDonald's. He was very nice and answered questions I had about the college.



Appearance of Campus:
3 - Good

The brick buildings aren't quite as soul-suckingly dull as I'd heard they are, but there is a distinct lack of unique architecture and color throughout the campus.



Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:
3 - Good

Not very dirty, but not especially clean either.



Dormitories:
3 - Good
3 - Good
The room we saw was very small, but had a sink and a mini-fridge.



Security/Safety:
4 - Very Good

Felt like a really safe campus. The safety precautions on campus sound extensive and more than adequate.



Overall Campus Impression:
4 - Very Good

I really enjoyed my tour. Not much stood out as being bad. I would be proud to go here.

Lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance.



City/Town/Community:

Raleigh seems like a good place to live.

The major emphasis at the information session and on the tour was the wide variety of internships, majors, clubs, and opportunities available to students at NC State.
