Information Session: No - Did not attend one on this visit but have in the past. Very informational. The tour is fun and, if the weather is nice, you get to spend time by the lake.

Campus Tour: No - My type of campus. A mix of the old and new, yet all very up to date.

Classroom Visit: No - Visited three classes ranging from 12 to 150 students and easy material to over-my-head. Emphasis seems to be on practical applications.

Campus Visit Notes for Northwestern University

Visit Description:

I had an awesome time visiting this campus. My host was very helpful and friendly, dispersing a wealth of knowledge throughout the stay. While only a freshmen it seemed he knew all there was to know about NW. The people he introduced me to were very friendly/courteous as well. I guess this is all to be expected, but everyone seemed very genuine. I toured a fraternity with him, which was a neat experience, as well as several other dorm rooms, all of which were satisfactory. One thing I learned, avoid the dorm Bob, unless you like your trash cans chained to the walls.

I visited three classes, nothing too spectacular here. It's the end of the quarter so the material was not too pertinent to what I know or very interesting.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Lots of 'em near by.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

Many MANY choices downtown. Sashimi anyone?

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

Take the Metra/el. It's three blocks away.
