Admissions Interview:
Yes - Had nice long chat with interviewer for about 45 minutes. They seemed to hit it off. Daughter loved that interviewer had her dog there, it made her feel instantly at ease.
Information Session:
Yes - Good info session with the dean of admissions. The only info session daughter really liked. Was very honest about the culture of the school.
Campus Tour:
Yes - Nice, well-informed tour guide. Answered difficult questions well from some annoying parents in the group.

Nice old brick buildings. Some new buildings. All looked well maintained.

Freshman get divided doubles, upperclassmen get singles. The new dorms were amazing. Bigger than many dorms we've seen.

Felt safe. Dorms are hard to get into. You need a key card to get in, to use the elevator/stairs and get into your room.
Overall Campus Impression:
5 - Excellent
Beautiful campus. Natural beauty including canyon with walking paths, beautiful trees and nice buildings. Self contained, town does not run through campus, which I liked.

Short drive or bike ride to interesting areas. Area immediately around campus is pleasant, residential. A few shops very close to campus, Trader Joe's not too far away.

Portland is a wonderful small city. Laid-back and friendly.
Campus Visit Notes for Reed College
Visit Description:
Overall a wonderful visit. Daughter ended up applying, and attending. Is a freshman now and is loving it. Took her there in August 09 and got to spend more time on campus and got a great impression of the student body. Great campus, interesting, friendly and intelligent student body.
