Visit Activities:

Admissions Interview: Yes - The interview was on-campus with an assistant admissions director, and it was very laid back. She asked me what classes I was taking, what I thought of my classes, and what I do in my free time.

Information Session: Yes - The information session offered me some quality info that isn't available on the internet. They really gave me a good idea of what is so unique about Rice, something I was struggling with before.

Campus Tour: Yes - The campus is incredible. It is a small school, and you can walk from end-to-end without getting tired. The buildings are beautiful, and Duncan Hall's interior is a must-see. The tour guide was c

Every one of the students that was involved in tour was very friendly, approachable, and charismatic. The girl who led our group in the campus tour was knowledgeable and cute.

It was like a college brochure you would get in the mail. In the on-campus coffee shop, there were various professors sitting and talking with students about various classes and coursework.

The campus was absolutely spectacular. The buildings were very ornate and classic-looking. The classrooms were small, and the architecture inside the various buildings was varied and interesting.

I literally saw no dirt, no grime, no bugs, and no trash the entire 2 days I was there. I even saw the maintenance crew trimming the bushes in the quad.

The dorms are crazy awesome. The students have living rooms which they share with other students, and their own bathrooms.

Rice is surrounded by very nice homes, and I couldn't imagine that this would draw much criminal activity. I wouldn't be too worried about safety.

It was the coolest place ever.

Visit Description:

Everything was awesome. I couldn't be happier with my visit there.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

I stayed at the Inter-Continental a few miles away and it was really awesome. The Galleria was ridiculously upscale though.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

The Cheesecake Factory at the Galleria mall was really good.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

I saw a Mazarati. I was like whoa, Mazarati.
