Campus Visit Notes for The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey
Visit Description:
Was pleasantly surprised at how nice the campus was. Almost all buildings seemed new or recently renovated. The student center was beautiful, and it did have a Dunkin Donuts inside. Classrooms looked comfortable. All clean. Auditorium where info session was beautiful. Did get the sense that everyone liked being at Stockton, but also felt that many went home on weekends, so not a lot happening. 1/3 student body are commuters.
Wish I could have seen the cafeteria(s). The tour guide did say we could go this way and that way and see it, but we were ready to go home. Got the sense that food is basic fare, buffet style.
Wifi all around campus and in rooms.
Shuttle buses available every 15 minutes to go from dorms to main academic buildings.
School was a bit small for my college bound kid, but I would be happy sending any of my children if they chose Stockton.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):
NJ transit comes to campus twice a week to go to local mall, Shoprite, and Target. I think they mentioned Atlantic City as well.
