Different then other campuses I have seen(mostly in the Midwest, IU, Miami of Ohio, Mizzou). Not extremely spread out which is nice. Palm trees everywhere, mountain ranges in the backround.

The buildings look fairly new. They all have the same color brick so they blend in with each other.

Visited 2 dorms, neither of which was the one that I wanted to live in next year but thats always he case with college dorm tours. Rooms are fairly small but not that bad.

Campus Visit Notes for The University of Arizona

Visit Description:

The main "college bar" road where the students hang out is located in the middle of campus, unlike for example Indiana's which is just off campus. For example, walking around at night you could come in contact with a stranger in a UofA parking garage. Since the "college town" road is in the middle of campus, not everyone you see on campus is affiliated with the unversity. Not that big of a deal but just something to be aware of.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Stayed at the best western about a mile away from campus. From the outside it looked like a piece of crap but our room turned out to be pretty good.(as well as cheap) Plus they give you free hot break

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

Many good restaurants on 4th avenue and university blvd.
