Visit Activities:
Campus Tour:
Yes - The tour guide was well versed in obscure campus traditions and anecdotes but had difficulty answering basic questions about housing and academics.

Sat down to lunch with a few students who were extremely friendly.

The admissions office was more than willing to go over the complications of applying out-of-state with me.
Appearance of Campus:
3 - Good
Construction.
Dormitories:
2 - Fair
Even our tour guide mentioned that the dorms aren't particularly nice, although they are a good way to meet fellow students.
Security/Safety:
4 - Very Good
Blue light system in place; however, did see a few crazy preacher types around the campus.
Overall Campus Impression:
5 - Excellent
I like how its integrated with the city of Berkeley - not 100% closed off.

Great thrift stores, record stores, take-out... everything.
City/Town/Community:
5 - Excellent
Berkeley is a fantastic city, and SanFran is right across the bay.

I can't imagine ever getting bored.

Berkeley is a city of great ethnic food. You can find anything, I promise you.
