Visit Activities:
Classroom Visit:
Yes - too big! 300 + students
Campus:
Friendliness/Courtesy of Students:
2 - Fair
There is an impression of the superficial and fake around campus, its very overt.
Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff:
2 - Fair
They were probably only trying to be nice to steal your money.
Appearance of Campus:
3 - Good
The campus looks like any other campus with a spanish vibe. The tour guide said that it looked like an east coast school, but she was obviously lying.
Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:
4 - Very Good
The buildings are clean, thats for sure.
Dormitories:
4 - Very Good
they are better than berkeley's dorm, but they are smaller.
Security/Safety:
5 - Excellent
very safe campus
Overall Campus Impression:
3 - Good
Theres nothing spectacular about the school, but it is safe and clean. It really feels like "whatever" when you are walking around campus. Nothing pops out.
Off-Campus:
Area Immediately Around Campus:
5 - Excellent
Westwood is a great college town. With diddy reise (1 dollar cookie ice creams), movie theaters, in and out burgers, etc. Westwood will provide any college student with a lot of fun.
City/Town/Community:
5 - Excellent
Can anyone complain when a school is right next to Bel Air?
Campus Visit Notes for University of California-Los Angeles
Visit Description:
We were guided by a tour guide, who pretty much lied about everything. She said that ucla was #2 for best on campus food, but when i checked princeton review, it was nowhere near the top 10. Also, she said that the school compares to cornell...what is wrong with her?!? We walked around the campus alot, it was nice, but nothing great about it. I did like their student union, they have a jamba juice in there. Royce hall and Powell library are the best looking architecture on campus, but if you want spectacular, or monumental archicture, i suggest you look at another school!
