Campus Visit Notes for University of California Santa Cruz

Visit Description:

I think UCSC is the hidden jewel of the UC system for serious students. With minimal grad students, undergrads get a great opportunity to work on research, several science communities enjoy international reputations, and professors need special excuse not to teach. Smaller average classes. Downside is that some large proportion of peers are more interested in the beach and parties, but good students will find that means more time and energy directed to them.
