Visit Activities:

Information Session: Yes - The information session was pretty informative but it seemed slightly rushed. The person showing us the slideshow skipped like 15 slides!

Campus Tour: Yes - Campus tour was great, we saw a dorm showroom and went around all of campus. Learned about the history of campus too! The only issue was that it was really hot, but we couldn't control that.

OU is a great school but since it is a state school, many people already know each other and such. So it can be slightly clique-y. But other than that, it's a great school!

Campus Visit Notes for University of Oklahoma Norman Campus

Visit Description:

My visit to campus was great, but it was a really hot day so it wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. It's a Big 12 school so sports are very big and when there is football, the whole university--the whole town even--participate in the festivities. Sororities and Fraternities are pretty big too. Since it's a State College, many people in the State of Oklahoma go there so many people know each other, which immediately leads to the sort of clique-y atmosphere. My tour guide was pretty good except other than showing us the buildings and telling us ghost stories, he didn't talk about much else but he was really enthusiastic about OU which was great. Overall, my experience at OU was great!
