Philadelphia is a nice, medium-sized city. It was busy, but it is a city filled with great history, which completely makes up for it. It would be a nice city to live in.

Campus Visit Notes for University of Pennsylvania

Visit Description:

My visit was pretty standard. I walked through the beautiful campus, went to the information session, had lunch in the student union, and basically did a self-guided tour. The campus was filled with good vibes and honestly made me feel smart just being there! The information session was standard, but informative. The speaker was from admissions and gave loads of information in under an hour. She spoke about the admissions process, clubs, financial aid, and the surrounding area. The food was pretty good as well! Although we ate in the student union and not the cafeteria, there were still a lot of different choices to choose from. After that, I walked around the campus a little more to get a feel for the school. It truly was amazingly beautiful and like an urban oasis. By that I mean, it's like a little peace of heaven inside a medium-sized (or big to some people) city. I think I would enjoy spending my days studying there and being apart of the UPenn community. The school gave a very good impression.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

We stayed outside of Philadelphia (in New Jersey), making it a lot cheaper. It was a short ride to get there (about 15 minutes is what the GPS said, but it was a bit more with traffic). I recommend it
