The surrounding area, although busy, gives a lot of safety features. There were also many safety measures taken around campus, such as emergency telephones. [View Full Report]

U Penn has bike patrols everywhere which ride the campus and surrounding streets for reassurance to students who live just off campus or go to restaurants, moives, coffee shops, frat houses etc there. [View Full Report]

The Penn Police are omnipresent, and there are TONS of safety measures involved. (My over-protective mother approves of me going.) But you still have to use common sense- you're in a city!! [View Full Report]

They spend much time explaining how safe it is, and how little time it takes for police to show up...which makes one wonder. [View Full Report]

Yeah, it's an urban setting, but Penn police are everywhere, as are the blue-light things. Beyond that, it's up to you to just use common sense. [View Full Report]

Being right in downtown Philadelphia, it's probably as safe as possible, which might not be saying much. Use caution, especially at night. [View Full Report]

There was nowhere I didn't have security within sight, the numbers for rides or escorts are also very helpful. [View Full Report]

Penn makes a big deal of on-campus security which seems well handled, but we're told most upperclasmen live off-campus and the surrounding neighborhoods get pretty sketchy very quickly. [View Full Report]

It's not the safest city in the world, but the Georgetown area itself is nice and safe. The school seems to take all the neccessary precautions to ensure safety. [View Full Report]

Penn gets an undeserved reputation as an edgy campus. The security and campus police staff go above and beyond to ensure the safety of the students. The campus is well-lit and patrolled all day. [View Full Report]
