Visit Activities:

Information Session: Yes - Very crowded. Ad rep gave brief overview and then allowed for questions which covered most topics.

Campus Tour: Yes - Big campus and there weren't enough guides for all the people there so the groups were large. Our guide was very informative however and allowed for questions at every stop.

Campus Visit Notes for University of Virginia

Visit Description:

Had a great visit to UVA. It was a beautiful day in the mid 80's and it was crawling with parents and prospective students. There was alot of activity on campus: kids walking to and from class, pick up games going on, people sun bathing or reading on the quads. We took a walk toward the Rotunda and passed the beautiful lawn rooms awarded to the most prestigious seniors. One of the students showed us her room and then spent over an hour talking with us. She was a great source of information and obviously loved UVA. Everyone we talked with seemed really friendly. Later we walked down to the Corner and had dinner and there was alot of activity going on.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Had a great stay at the English Inn about 2 miles up the road

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

Free parking at the Emmett Street garage was a bit of a walk to campus but not too bad
