We took tours of two dorms: Bradley Learning Community at Lakeshore and Chadbourne in SE area. The rooms are not big, but serviceable. It looked like there are a lot of planned activities in the dorms [View Full Report] |

Visited Sellery Hall on our tour and saw a pre-packaged, model room. The building looked in generally good shape for a public university. Only 25% of students live on campus, mostly underclassmen. [View Full Report] |

The only knock I have of this tour is that we were ushered through a show dorm room. I would have liked to have seen an actual dormitory hallway.....just to get the feel of life in Madison. [View Full Report] |

Of the ones we saw, the tour guides said that it really depends on where you decide to live. 17 dorms--Lakeshore or Southeast--the more you pay the bigger the space and the newer the building [View Full Report] |

I only saw inside some SE dorms and they were small as expected, but close to the libraries, Kohl Center, food, and the Terrace. Overall about what I expected. [View Full Report] |

It's a dorm, but they're all mostly the same design, and you have freedom to move stuff around as you please. Newer dorms look excellent, older dorms are mainly in 2 locations with different [View Full Report] |

"Good" is about the highest rating I'll give any college dorm, though my son says the "model" room was the largest he has seen (seemed tiny to me). [View Full Report] |

Lake Shore and South dorms all seem very nice. The community bathrooms are frustrating, but have all the modern amenities. The only truly awful dorm, Ogg Hall, is being torn down this summer. [View Full Report] |

Hard to say because I only saw a model room. The dorm my son stayed in was ok. Another prospective student we met stayed in a new dorm and said it was amazing. There's a wide variety, apparently. [View Full Report] |
