Yes - Information session had to be moved to a larger space due to the number of people visiting. The original larger space was locked. The admissions counselor had to "wing it" without his powe

Campus Visit Notes for Vanderbilt University
Visit Description:
The group ended up being large (about 150 people) so we did not fit into the admissions office room. The previously scheduled larger room was locked. We walked to a nearby room in the student center. The admissions counselor was without his power point, but he was able to convey the important information well. He spoke a lot about the "Common" Experience (or something like that) for freshman.
Our tour guide knew his stuff, but was a bit full of himself. It's not really a great idea to tell prospective students you applied on a whim to a competitive school and were accepted. There was definitely a subtle undertone of snobbishness.
Overall I felt there was a bit of disorganization. A couple of times the admissions people sent us out, then in, then out of a room. The tour guide ended the tour at a science building not the admissions office. He pointed us in the general direction of the building. (and failed to ask us to fill out the evaluation forms.)
We also never stepped into a classroom although were told that would be part of our tour.
Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:
We were visiting a family member in nearby Murfreesboro so stayed in that area (about 1/2 hour away)
Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):
Arrive a bit early to find parking near the admissions office.
