Yes - The lecture halls and classrooms I visited ranged from nice to amazing. My girlfriend took me to several classrooms not included on the tour.

Beautiful. It's like being in a park. Huge trees, buildings all constructed of Hokie Stone, the War Memorial Chapel, it all just works.

Some modernization may be necessary, but hey it's a college dorm, you can't expect much and these exceed what most other colleges have to offer.

I love the Blacksburg area, and nearby Christiansburg offers good shopping. And Roanoke isn't too far down the road either. Also love the mountains.

Campus Visit Notes for Virginia Tech
Visit Description:
I went down to Tech 5 times over the period of two months to visit my girlfriend, and to tour the school. On my trips I explored various aspects of the college ranging from the gyms to the classrooms to the dorms and everywhere else in between. I fell in love so quickly I forgot all of my other college aspirations.

If you can't get a place in Blacksburg or Christiansburg, Roanoke is about thirty minutes north on I-81.
