Visit Activities:
Information Session:
Yes - Excellent session presented by an energetic admissions staffer who was a 2006 graduate. She gave a Power Point presentation illustrated by excellent photos.
Campus Tour:
Yes - Despite some overlap of material with the information session, it was a great tour of a beautiful campus. The tour guide was knowledgeable and interjected a lot of her own experience with her informat
Campus:
Friendliness/Courtesy of Students:
4 - Very Good
The only reason I didn't rate "excellent" is because school was not in session and we came in contact with only a limited number of students. We did have to ask for directions twice, an
Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff:

Appearance of Campus:
5 - Excellent
Beautiful campus. Lots of Magnolia trees.
Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:
5 - Excellent
Everything was pristine.
Dormitories:
3 - Good
While the dorm we saw was immaculate, the dorm rooms themselves were small, with only 1 closet to be shared by two students. Rooms have newish furnishings and include a mini-fridge and microwave.
Security/Safety:
5 - Excellent
Wake Forest maintaines a closed campus. There are two entrances. One closes at night. The other is manned.
Overall Campus Impression:
5 - Excellent
We really liked the southern sensibility and the plethora of tradition at Wake Forest.
Off-Campus:
Area Immediately Around Campus:
3 - Good
While Reynolda Village is walking distance, it clearly doesn't cater to students. Upperclassmen would probably want a car.
City/Town/Community:
4 - Very Good
Campus Visit Notes for Wake Forest University
Visit Description:
Both my daughter and I were very impressed with the info session and tour. The quality of student life seems excellent. The campus is beautiful. The negative was the size of the dorm room we saw, which was a freshman dorm--the options improve as you progress. On the positive side, the freshman dorms literally line the academic quad, so students could roll out of bed and be at class in 5 minutes.
Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:
We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott on University Parkway, which was convenient to campus and to the airport.
Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:
Pig Pickins--Southern barbecue around the corner from our hotel.
