Visit Activities:


Information Session: Yes - They spent the entire time telling us that getting in was pretty much a crapshoot.

Campus Tour: Yes - Unfortunately, the school wasn't in session and there was a lot of construction going on.

Set in a lovely little town. Convenient to UMass Amherst, which had a nice social scene.

Campus Visit Notes for Amherst College


Visit Description:

We had a really charming tour guide, but the information session was somewhat less than ideal. The entire time was spent basically telling everyone there that they probably wouldn't get in, that the admissions process was unfair, and that the selections often appeared to be random. THat said, at least they were upfront about it.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

There's a very good indian restaurant in town!
