Visit to Amherst College in August 2007 by sugangel7 (Student, HS Class of 2008)
Visit Activities:
Information Session: Yes - An admissions person tells you about what makes Amherst unique and a bit about the admissions process. He answers questions and then brings a student to come give you a tour and answer questions too.
Campus Tour: Yes - Amherst is not terribly big and you get to see a good portion of the campus from the library, their own small museum with dinosaur bones and whatnot, to the dorms.
Classroom Visit: Yes - I only remember seeing an archaeology classroom which was very cool with bones and whatnot lying about. I do wonder what other classrooms would be like.

Campus Visit Notes for Amherst College:
Visit Description: I visited in summer so didn't get as much as a feel for campus as if I had visited while classes were in session.

But the people I met were helpful and friendly. The facilities are very modern and clean and well-maintained.

Quaint city, nice area.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments: We stayed at the Holiday-Inn Select. Free wireless. Five minutes or so from campus.
