Visit to Bowdoin College in April 2007 by bobow98 (Student, HS Class of 2007)
Visit Activities:
   Admissions Interview: Yes - Friendly senior interviewer..talked for about 30 minutes because of long line.
   Information Session: Yes - Lady was quite nice and informative...sort of.
   Campus Tour: Yes - Beautiful little campus real cozy and nice and all that good stuff. everything is close so it's accesible.
   Classroom Visit: Yes - some really engaging and interesting teachers who truly seem interested in what you are learning (excluding intro level courses..because...well you know)
Bowdoin College Campus:
   Friendliness/Courtesy of Students: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - really helpful, helped me find places and showed me places and talked about stuff in general
   Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - very friendly and approachable
   Appearance of Campus: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent
   Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent
   Dormitories: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - frosh get 4 people quads with 3 rooms (2 per room) and 1 common livng space about 2x as big as BR. couldn't ask for a much better dorm. really clean single person showers (whole room) and cle
   Security/Safety: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - no crime...i hope
   Overall Campus Impression: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent
Off-Campus:
   Area Immediately Around Campus: 4 - Very Good 4 - Very Good - lots of restaurants...a little small but not bad, pretty green and clean
   City/Town/Community: 3 - Good 3 - Good - ok
Campus Visit Notes for Bowdoin College:
Visit Description: Just a great experience. Can't wait to spend 4 years there.

Freeport (10 min south of campus) is the best discount clothing outlet center in the state, and you can get stuff at 80% off.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments: Portland, largest city in maine, is less than 30 min away and has great food and entertainment, arts, lodging, etc.

Bangkok Thai on Congress St.
THe Blue spoon on congress st.
Bar Lola on congress st.
Hugo's (near downtown)
Duck fat (near hugo's)
Sapporo (sushi, on commercial st.)
