Providence is awesome. While it's not NYC (MUCH smaller), it has a definite 'city' feel. It is also very close to a harbor area, and great beaches. Boston is a 45 minute drive away. [View Full Report] |

Providence has a great shopping area that's close to campus and looks wonderful. We didn't have time to check it out, but if you go there you should. [View Full Report] |

Providence had been revitalized several years ago, and it shows with new buildings and businesses. It was easy to get to Brown from the airport in spite of some highway construction on the way. [View Full Report] |

Providence is a beautiful little city, quaint, and full of character. There's a nice mall and a pretty river. Other than that, it's not really your bustling metropolitan area. [View Full Report] |

Again, its pretty decent; I rate this a 4 because frankly I didn't spend enough time in the town (Brown has a LOT to do) to get a feel for Providence. [View Full Report] |

Providence seems like a great place to be for college. If you're interested in being in a city without fear of hitting the wrong side of town just three blocks away, Brown seems ideal. There's public transportation and, it seemed, plenty of re [View Full Report] |

I was in or near the front row during Ruth Simmons' welcome address to the 2010 acceptees, and beforehand, the mayor of Providence, David Cicilline, came and shook all of our hands and spoke with each one of us while we waited. [View Full Report] |
