Visit Activities:
Campus:
Friendliness/Courtesy of Students:
5 - Excellent
The students at caltech were VERY polite and were willing to help me get around the campus. One actually offered me a tour ! These students seem to be very happy with the school.
Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff:
3 - Good
I dod not get an oppurtunity to meet or see any staff as my visit was on a sunday.
Appearance of Campus:
4 - Very Good
The campus is very nice and seems well kept however, it was raining during my visit so I didnt get to see the school's usual appearnace as the grounds were dirty from the rain.
Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:
5 - Excellent
Again the buildings seemed very well kept.
Dormitories:
4 - Very Good
The south building is still under construction, however the north building looked nice however I could not go inside.
Security/Safety:
5 - Excellent
The school is near a fire station, has the usual alarm posts around campus, and seems to have students of a very clean and behaved maner.
Overall Campus Impression:
5 - Excellent
The school is very nice and I really enjoyed by visit.
Off-Campus:
Area Immediately Around Campus:
3 - Good
The area alon the perimeter of the campus is not bad at all. Pasadena city college is right next to the campus and the area is mainly residential. Nothing extreamly exciting however.
City/Town/Community:
2 - Fair
Pasadena has many poverty stricken citizens and the area is not very clean. Obviously there is much worse but the are is not great.
