California Institute of Technology Campus:
Friendliness/Courtesy of Students: 5 - Excellent -
The students are extremely friendly. You can just start talking to random people and they will reply nicely.
Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff: 5 - Excellent -
I didn't get to talk to a lot of professors, but they seemed really nice according to current students.
Appearance of Campus: 5 - Excellent -
The campus is really small, but it's also really nice. It gave this quiet and peaceful feeling in the morning, with the birds and squerrals and everything, but turned into partying at night! (No,
Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness: 4 - Very Good -
Well, it's not bad, but some buildings have this old feeling in them. The buildings are not the "impressive" type, I must admit, but it goes with the peacefull feeling of the campus.
Dormitories: 5 - Excellent -
I lived in Avery. The room was pretty spacous. My hostess had a double, and they had a really large couch in the room and still had space for at least three people to sit down and chat.
Security/Safety: 5 - Excellent -
I feel really safe wandering on campus even at 2am.
Overall Campus Impression: 5 - Excellent -
I love it! Didn't want to come back after prefrosh weekend.
Off-Campus:
Area Immediately Around Campus: 4 - Very Good -
residential area, not much to say.
City/Town/Community: 5 - Excellent -
I think old pasadena is quite nice. Not too urban like LA, but doesn't bore you either. Many restaurants. Chinese food not bad.
Campus Visit Notes for California Institute of Technology:
Visit Description:
I went to the preforsh weekend, and I really loved it. Had tons of fun and met some really nice people. The dining was... most interesting. :D People were throwing bread and yelling at the student waiters, but it was really fun. (if you're wondering about the quality of the food, let's just say... it's the people and traditions that matter. :D) The students really surprised me because I didn't expect them to be that friendly. People are really smart, but they show it in the places that you least expect (mafia, for example. I have never played mafia to that degree before.) Overall, I really loved it. I felt that I already belonged to the school at the end.

hmm, I didn't eat in a lot of restaurants (of course), but the one I ate in is pretty good. The other restaurants surely look nice.
