The campus is very safe. It is said that you can leave your belongings outside for many days and no one will take it. Students at Caltech take the honor code very seriously. |

I did not see this as an issue unless someone doesn't have common sense. Crime really does not seem to be a problem. |

I felt really safe wandering around campus in the middle of the night. In general, I think the honor code encourages a safe environment and the residents around seem rather friendly too. |

One twentysomething year old wacko tried to sexually harass me on the streets around the campus. Aside from that, it's a really safe place. |

Pasadena isn't South Central. It's a nice campus in an expensive residential area. I don't have hard facts, but it doesn't look like the sort of place where you would stress out a lot. They have security posts all over campus. |

The school is near a fire station, has the usual alarm posts around campus, and seems to have students of a very clean and behaved maner. |
