Carleton College - Comments on Area Immediately Around Campus

October 26 2007	arkitex	Small town. Not much there. The nearby business district had book stores and a few shops and restaurants. Town closes up pretty much by 8 or 9pm

June 14 2007	stepherzzz	I actually thought Northfield was COOL. It's not huge or anything, but there is a little downtown area near campus with some restaurants, historical buildings, and a Caribou Coffee.
October 29 2006	Ritafinn	.The area is farmland. There are some nicely maintained houses around the campus. Not always easy to see where the campus ends and the surrounding neighborhood begins. Lots of faculty live very nearby.
