Visit Activities:


Campus Tour: Yes - Well, we came right after school let out, so the only people that were there were the students, of course, but for the guide, it was just my mom, the tourguide, and I. I thought she had a LOT of insightful things to same about CMU, and she was only a sop

The people are extremely diverse there, and for the most part ushering you along and caring for you as a visitor. they are not always hospital, but, many of the students were very nice.

The staff at CMU are knowledgeable, very very nice, and willing to assist you with anything (not like those bastard harvard professors who just stare at you if you don't have 50 plasma tv's). ok i'm biased a little b/c i live near cmu and i

The campus is very beautiful, the buildings tend to look on the rustic/industrial side (and i know what you're thinking-brandeis-NO! it is nowhere near as pitiful as that school). cmu's buildings were meant to be a factory, so it's basical

It's relatively safe at CMU, it's in an interesting neighborhood where good and bad come together; one kid got killed while crossing the street, so, there ARE bad drivers there (just like anywhere i s'pose). but still. I think that

Great campus, friendly atmosphere, *DIVERSE* student body and i mean super diverse, and just good impression!

CMU is right by the Schenley Park area which is a pretty decent area, though there are shady things that happen there sometimes. the uiniversity is also rigth by oakland, which is bad at night.

Campus Visit Notes for Carnegie Mellon University


Visit Description:

I had always seen CMU driving by it when going to Pittsburgh, but, it is such a different feel once visited! Each and every school has its own personality, and i tend to like CMU's. It's very old charm, rustic, brilliant, yet laid back at the same time. It's really hard to explain. But, the only way for peopel to know is to visit-in the daytime, of course, try not to stay ovoernight unless you live on campus it's not the most becoming area ehehe:.
