Bus to the airport was great, only $2.60 and dropped us across the street from CMU. Picked up 1/2 block from the hotel. |

Pittsburgh is a fairly inexpensive place to fly into and out of, at least from where we live. |

Figure out the bus system; light rail is useless and traffic is a nightmare, but the area surrounding campus is totally walkable. |

There's a bus from the airport - the 28X shuttle - that drops you right at CMU. If you have younger children the Carnegie Science Center was quite nice. If the conservatory is having a flower show don't miss it. |

Parking didn't seem like it would be very easy. The airport is ~45 min from campus. The 28X shuttle takes slightly longer. Once in town, don't expect just to hail a cab. Call in advance. |
