The students at Colby were the nicest out of any school we visited. All of them said hello, everyone seemed genuinely pleased to talk to us.

Like the students, the staff at Colby were amazingly friendly. I had special circumstances coming into my visit, and they readily accomodated them.
Appearance of Campus: 5 - Excellent -
The Colby campus is beautiful. The quad is on multiple-levels and from the top, there is a spectacular view of the whole campus. There is lots of open space which really appealed to me.
Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness: 4 - Very Good -
Most of the buildings we went into were very well maintained, however, a few of the classrooms weren't as clean as they perhaps could have been.

The dorms themselves seemed nice, but my impression was somewhat distorted by the fact that my tour guide showed us her own dorm - and she liked to live in chaos. I was scared to go into her room for fear that I might discover some new biological species

We didn't spend very much time exploring the local area around Colby because we had to drive back to down to Boston that night to catch a plane.

I would really recomend that if you decide to visit Colby, that you leave more time to explore the local area than my family did. We were in too much of a hurry to enjoy the surrounding area but a friend of mine who also visited said that there are plenty of ammenties for college students.
