We stayed at Hotel Newton. Very convient, just hop the 1 train uptown to Columbia. Other than that, its a place to sleep and not much else. |

We stay in midtown whenever we visit NYC. You can stay in any neighborhood as the subway system is so easy and covers all of manhattan,you just cant go wrong. |

I don't normally spend the night there. The only hotel I can rec. is the StRegis since that's the only one I've stayed in. If you can afford it, its worth it. close to the subway too. |

We were actually lucky enough to stay with friends while in NYC but there are so many hotels in the city and some around Columbia. |
