Visit to Cornell University in March 2008 by iluvcolumbia (Student, HS Class of 2009)
Visit Activities:
   Information Session: Yes - lots of information about the different schools. kind of dull
   Campus Tour: Yes - gives a little too much information for someone who has not yet even applied nor gotten in.
Cornell University Campus:
   Friendliness/Courtesy of Students: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - didnt get to talk to many but the ones that worked there were very helpful.
   Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - good staff
   Appearance of Campus: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - beautiful campus, even in early spring when everything is brown and dead and cold. I can just imagine how it would look later on in the year. Huge too, no wonder it has its own zip code.
   Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - lots of modern buildings as well as traditional beautiful ones.
   Dormitories: 4 - Very Good 4 - Very Good - didnt see any but saw one of the community centers. looked fun.
   Security/Safety: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - blue lights
   Overall Campus Impression: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - it was amazing. its my first regular decision choice.
Off-Campus:
   Area Immediately Around Campus: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - collegetown is such a cute town. especially the waterfalls just minutes from campus, just add a serene feeling that you cant find anywhere else.
   City/Town/Community: 4 - Very Good 4 - Very Good - ithaca is okay, has all major stores you might need. not many activities to do probably.
Campus Visit Notes for Cornell University:
Visit Description: i loved it! it was like its very own small city in a big town. you'd see buses and people everywhere, but every building was part of cornell. def unique

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments: nice chinese restaurant and food on campus was good.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.): parking right on campus. just say you're there for a info session
