Visit to Cornell University in March 2006 by eeemillee (Student, HS Class of 2005)
Visit Activities:
   Information Session: Yes - The information session was great. It came after the tour and I loved the tour so I think that I would have liked anything they would have said.
   Campus Tour: Yes - It was interesting to have the tour and then the info session. The tour was very extensive and took about 2 hours. They took us all over the campus and my tour guide told us stories about each place we went to. Also, it was early so many people were still
Cornell University Campus:
   Friendliness/Courtesy of Students: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - Our tour guide was great, but after the tour we met many students because we got so lost! Everyone was friendly and helpful too. One of the students even walked us to find food and ended up eating with us and telling us about his experiences at Cornell.
   Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - Everyone was friendly.
   Appearance of Campus: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - I expected to hate it, but it was beautiful! It really is one of the best kept secrets!
   Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness: 4 - Very Good 4 - Very Good - Everything was clean and beautiful, but there was a lot of construction going on.
   Dormitories: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - The ones that we saw were great. They weren't enormous, but they had high ceilings so it made the whole room seem bigger.
   Security/Safety: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - The campus is isolated(not in a bad way) so it's pretty safe. Like at most schools, if you don't make stupid decisions then you'll most likely be fine.
   Overall Campus Impression: 5 - Excellent 5 - Excellent - I loved it!!! I wanted to make sure that academics were taken seriosly there so I talked to many of the students and they seemed to balance their academic and social lives well. Off-Campus:
   Area Immediately Around Campus: 3 - Good 3 - Good - It wasn't NYC, but there was enough to do when you do want to get off campus.
   City/Town/Community: 3 - Good 3 - Good - It seemed okay, but honestly I wasn't looking to much at this.
