Visit Activities:

Information Session: No - I attended both the CALS and CoE sessions. Both were very informative, and the admissions reps at each were friendly, ready to answer my questions, and honest.

Campus Tour: No - For the Cornell tour, be prepared to walk!!! It's a huge campus, so wear something comfortable. The tour guides here were the most engaging out of those of all the schools I visited.

Definitely very friendly. I was sitting by myself at one of the cafeterias, and a couple of students came over and invited me to join their table to chat/ask questions.

I actually took two visits a year apart from each other, and there was heavy construction both times. Plus, there's a decent amount of noisy automobile traffic - it's certainly not Harvard Y

Ithaca is somewhere between suburbia and city. For fellow Bostonians, think Brookline.

Campus Visit Notes for Cornell University

Visit Description:

I visited twice - once before junior year and once before senior year. Didn't really like the campus the first time, but it honestly grew on me after a year.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

Statler Hotel, while very convenient, is a bit expensive. Go out maybe 10-15 minutes, and you get good deals at random inns.
