Visit Activities:

Information Session: Yes - Pretty much the same spiel that the other Ivy Leagues give. One big thing is that there are practically no grad schools at Dartmouth (a blessing and a curse).

Campus Tour: Yes - Pretty much standard.

Classroom Visit: Yes - The profs are really nice about you listening in on their classes, as are the students.

The "downtown" near the school is ridiculously small, albeit folksy and with great places to eat.

Campus Visit Notes for Dartmouth College

Visit Description:

It was raining when I arrived. Really hard... umbrella-breaking hard. But the second day was nicer.

I think the biggest thing for a west-coaster like me was how cold it was. It was freezing there, even when it stopped raining.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

The Hanover Inn looks good, although I didn't stay there.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

The little alley next to the campus that they like to call "downtown" has some great places to eat.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

There's a bus that runs fairly often (twice daily, I think) from the Manchester Airport to Hanover.
