Visit Activities:
Admissions Interview:
Yes - I had a senior interview with a very interesting student. She asked me typical interview questions but did it in a way so that I would not feel the pressure. She even began by saying "This isn't suppose to a scary interview." Sure enough, i
Information Session:
Yes - I went to this in February, but it was one of the major things that brought me back. You can do all the reading about the D-Plan you want, but hearing from an admissions officer specific examples of how students adapt and life this calendar was great.
Campus Tour:
Yes - Again, this was in February. Much like the interview, the tour was helpful because it was a chance to find out what the life of a Dartmouth student is like. I learned of some of the different clubs to join, what people do on weekends (maybe not ALL of wha
Campus:
Friendliness/Courtesy of Students:
5 - Excellent
From my interviewer to the people in the lunch room. The people at Dartmouth were friendly.
It was a little intimidating to be around such brilliant people however.
Friendliness/Courtesy of Staff:
5 - Excellent
Much of this would not have been possible without the Staff. My family and I wouldn't have eaten lunch, or found the bookstore, or anything else, withouth the help of the staff.
Appearance of Campus:
5 - Excellent
The most beautiful place ever. The buildings match very well with the surrounding area and the Green itself is amazing. When I went in February, there was a massive snow sculpture on the green.
Keep in mind, I went in the dead of winter and on a rainy
Building/Facilities Maintenance/Cleanliness:
5 - Excellent
The Tower room in baker library offered a great view of the campus. The other buildings were just as spectacular.
Dormitories:
(Didn't get a chance to see them)
Security/Safety:
5 - Excellent
I can see why this is one of the safest campuses in the country, people would leave their laptops in the library, and an hour later, they would still be there.
Also there were blue lights everywhere, so if there was a safety problem, it wouldn't l
Overall Campus Impression:
5 - Excellent
I was drawn in with everything around me. I love this place
Off-Campus:
Area Immediately Around Campus:
5 - Excellent
Campus blends nicely in with the surrounding area.
City/Town/Community:
5 - Excellent
Hanover may turn off some without a busy metropolis atmosphere, but I liked it. I was able to tell that students are very important to the city. Many of the shops and restaurants catered to the Dartmouth students.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:
We made it a day trip in September, but in February we stayed in a nice like motel on the outskirts of the next town. It was comfortable and simple, no excess flair.
Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:
The dining hall was nice, although expensive
