Visit Activities:

Admissions Interview: Yes - I had an informal interview with a current student, and learned a lot about the college. She was able to answer all of my questions about admissions and student life at Dartmouth.

Campus Tour: Yes - We took a tour of the entire campus and spent some time in many of the buildings. Our tour guide was really helpful in explaining the importance/function of each building and student life on campus.

Classroom Visit: Yes - I went to a Cultural Anthropology class where racial typologies were discussed. The professor made the class interesting and informative, and the students were able to voice their opinions in class.

The Dartmouth campus was so beautiful. There were huge evergreen tress all around, lovely lawns, and great buildings. The campus had a nice, small-town feel and was easy to navigate.

I got to stay in one of the new dorms (Goldstein), and thought it was great. Even though I had a roommate, it felt like I was in a single (partition in middle of room). It was very clean and spacious.

Security/Safety:

Even as I walked alone around the campus at 1:30 am, I felt safe. Dartmouth is in a nice, small town without much crime, but just in case has many machines outside that can easily alert the police.

Overall Campus Impression:

Overall, I loved my experience at Dartmouth. I hope I'll be able to matriculate next fall.

The area around campus was really nice and had great scenery.

Hanover is a nice little town; my only problem was the lack of things to do off campus. There wasn't much shopping or eateries to visit.

Campus Visit Notes for Dartmouth College

Visit Description:

My experience at Dartmouth was great, and I really enjoyed myself. The students and professors were extremely kind and helpful, and I learned a lot. Dartmouth is in a beautiful area and has a great campus, and is a really good school.

Hotel/Lodging Recommendations or Comments:

The Hanover Inn (right on campus) was beautiful, but expensive.

Dining/Restaurant Recommendations or Comments:

I really enjoyed the Ben and Jerry's (down the street from Dartmouth), and the food in the dining hall.

Other Comments (Transportation, local attractions, parking, etc.):

If you fly to Dartmouth and arrive at the Manchester airport, there is about an hour long drive to get up to Hanover.
